DevOps Engineer (Cloud Platform)

About the role

Upstream is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help streamline the development, testing, integration, packaging, and deployment of its micro‑service based products. The role focuses on maintaining and scaling both on‑premise and cloud infrastructure to deliver a reliable, high‑performance experience for users.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve artifact‑ and container‑based deployment strategies.
• Design, implement, and support immutable deployment platforms.
• Build on‑premise and cloud solutions using VMWare, AWS, and Azure.
• Maintain and upgrade data‑center infrastructure, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Enable developers to build, bake, and deploy images locally, on Kubernetes, and in the cloud.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security across environments.

Required profile

• Passionate about Linux and comfortable working in the shell.
• Strong background in networking and virtualization (VMWare).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on‑premise data‑centers.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, production‑facing, agile environments.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving mindset; knows how to find answers.
