Desktop Support Lead Technician

About the role

As a Desktop Support Lead Technician in Athens, you will maintain the desktop environment, provide advanced end‑user support, and lead escalation of complex issues while contributing to excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, upgrade, replace and repair computer hardware and peripherals.
• Act as escalation point for complex technical and configuration issues and provide onsite support for VIP users.
• Monitor and maintain desktop compliance (SCCM client health, antivirus, patch updates) and site IT compliance (vulnerability management, DHCP, VLAN).
• Configure and administer softphone and hard phone systems.
• Create and update documentation such as SOPs, job aids and FAQs.
• Assist with implementing discovery, planning and managing projects.
• Act as liaison between other departments and the Site IT group.
• Support senior IT team with sales processes.
• Mentor and train junior specialists and provide backup for the IT Site Supervisor.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to install, configure and troubleshoot desktop operating systems and PC hardware.
• Experience with SCCM, antivirus, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, VLAN and imaging tools.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail in planning, reporting and execution.
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules and additional hours as required.
