Data Science Team Lead

About the role

As the lead of an AI product team at Kaizen Gaming, you will guide a group of data scientists and machine learning engineers to deliver high‑impact AI solutions that power our betting and entertainment platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5‑7 data scientists and ML engineers.
• Translate product requirements into machine‑learning problems and identify high‑value AI use cases.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and model development.
• Implement best practices for model selection, hyper‑parameter tuning and comparative experiments.
• Oversee the full AI feature lifecycle—from data collection to production deployment and optimisation.
• Mentor junior team members and steer complex projects to successful delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a people manager.
• Deep theoretical knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms.
• Extensive hands‑on experience delivering ML models to production.
• Proven ability to design and implement MLOps pipelines.
• Experience with big‑data tools (Spark/PySpark) and cloud environments, preferably Azure/Databricks.
• Strong software‑engineering skills in Python and OOP.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and analytical thinking.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
