Commis Chef (Cook B) – Culinary Team Member

About the role

As a Commis Chef (Cook B) you will support the Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality meals and a safe, clean work environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their skills within a luxury, adults‑only retreat.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
• Assist in all stages of food preparation, including measuring, mixing, and cooking.
• Continuously develop culinary knowledge to produce high‑quality dishes.
• Wash, chop, and cut fruits, vegetables, meat, and other ingredients.
• Assess inventory levels and request resupply when necessary.
• Plate meals under the Chef’s supervision, ensuring presentation standards.
• Dispose of spoiled items and strictly follow sanitation policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Culinary degree or formal culinary training.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Ability to follow all sanitation and safety procedures.
• Team‑player with high energy, able to work under pressure.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
