Business Development Officer / Senior Officer

About the role

We are expanding our Business Development team and are looking for a motivated professional to join us as a Business Development Officer or Senior Officer. You will play a key part in growing our market presence, acquiring new leads, and supporting merchants with our POS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the market and acquire new contacts/leads.
• Visit customers, merchants, and prospects daily to promote company services.
• Demonstrate POS terminal and card‑payment processing solutions, provide basic troubleshooting, and support onboarding.
• Increase brand awareness and expand the client base.
• Conduct due‑diligence and KYC gathering for merchant applications.
• Maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Schedule and book business meetings.
• Update daily performance and target data, and assist in marketing coordination.
• Ensure smooth conversion of leads into e‑accounts/merchants with the Customer Service Unit.
• Report business development activities to the BD Management Team on a regular basis.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by management related to the role.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration or related field (advantageous).
• 3–5 years of business development or customer‑service experience in banking, corporate, or payment‑processing environments.
• Previous experience in acquiring services is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
