BI Engineer – Hybrid or Onsite

About the role

Viva.com is looking for a BI Engineer to design and optimise the data foundations that power its advanced analytics, AI and large‑language‑model capabilities. You will work at the intersection of business intelligence, machine learning and generative AI, delivering high‑quality, AI‑ready datasets and semantic models for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design semantic models for Power BI, LLM inputs and ML pipelines.
• Develop and optimise Silver and Gold data layers within the BI architecture.
• Maintain and improve existing Power BI semantic models for performance and usability.
• Prepare AI/LLM‑ready datasets for advanced analytics and generative AI use cases.
• Identify, design and implement automation and data‑delivery improvements.
• Deliver tasks on schedule while continuously expanding technical expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a BI Engineer or in a similar data/BI role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, versioning and BI best practices.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in English.
