Aviation Quality Assurance Specialist – Inflight Catering

About the role

AirCanteen is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join its inflight catering operations at Athens International Airport. You will ensure that all raw materials, production processes, and finished meals meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and traceability while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess quality and food safety of raw materials, in‑process items, and finished products.
• Conduct product checks against airline specifications, including appearance and weight.
• Ensure implementation of HACCP, CCP, and OPRP requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate quality and food‑safety records and documentation.
• Support investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
• Assist with monthly menu changes, preparing specifications and implementing them.
• Enforce FIFO procedures and train staff on critical food‑safety practices.
• Track quality reports and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Prior experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within food production, catering, or hospitality.
• Specific experience in inflight or airline catering is mandatory.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• HACCP principles and food‑safety requirements.
• HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• NEBOSH or similar Workplace Health & Safety certification (preferred).
