Assistant/Associate Auditor (Thessaloniki)

About the role

Grant Thornton Greece is seeking a motivated Assistant/Associate Auditor to join its Audit team in Thessaloniki. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting audit engagements for clients across diverse industries while developing your technical and professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of audit assignments for clients in various sectors.
• Assist with audit testing procedures and document findings under supervision.
• Participate in business risk assessments and internal control evaluations.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP and IFRS.
• Help with audit planning, fieldwork execution, and completion activities.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit matters.
• Maintain accurate audit files and uphold documentation standards.
• Apply audit tools, methodologies, and digital solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, high‑quality audit delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Up to 3 years of relevant audit experience or internship exposure.
• Working towards or intending to pursue a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA).
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment and meet deadlines.
• Fluent communication in both Greek and English.
• Completed mandatory military service where applicable.
