Software Engineer – AI‑Augmented Engineering

About the role

Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help clients modernize critical systems and accelerate digital transformation using AI‑augmented development tools. You will work on high‑impact, enterprise‑scale projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary experts to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver enterprise software solutions using modern engineering practices and AI‑assisted development approaches.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality.
• Review and validate AI‑generated code to ensure production readiness, security, and maintainability.
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technical decisions and code reviews, promoting engineering excellence.
• Apply modern development practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps principles.
• Solve complex technical challenges, optimize applications and translate business needs into technology solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience developing software applications in enterprise environments.
• Strong fundamentals in object‑oriented programming, clean‑code practices and software design principles.
• Ability to adapt across different technology stacks and programming languages.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems.
