Lead Product Designer – Commodities

About the role

Kpler is looking for a Lead Product Designer to shape the user experience of its commodities data platform. You will turn complex energy, maritime and commodity data into clear, actionable visualisations for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design vision and standards for Kpler’s Commodities Business Unit, ensuring consistency across web and mobile products.
• Deliver end‑to‑end features from discovery, through prototyping, to development‑ready specifications.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define problems, explore solutions and keep the user at the centre of the process.
• Translate complex commodity workflows into intuitive, human‑centred interfaces.
• Mentor and align the distributed design team across France, Greece and Germany.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience designing digital products (web, SaaS or enterprise tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, able to present design narratives clearly.
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates a rigorous design process.
• Interest in commodities, finance, trading or other data‑rich domains (knowledge is a plus).
• Self‑driven attitude toward mastering design tools and experimenting with AI‑assisted workflows.
• Curiosity, willingness to share knowledge and collaborate effectively.
• Previous management or team‑lead experience is a bonus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma (or a comparable design and prototyping tool).
