Forward Deployed Software Architect

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Software Architect you will combine deep engineering expertise with client‑facing skills to design and deliver high‑impact technology solutions. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to turn ambitious ideas into secure, scalable, production‑ready products that drive measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable technology architectures.
• Lead solution architecture, defining application structures, integration patterns, technology stacks, and implementation approaches.
• Design AI‑enabled solutions leveraging Generative AI, large language models, intelligent automation, and modern cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to turn architectural decisions into secure, production‑ready implementations.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, best‑practice guidance, and oversight of the software development lifecycle.
• Bridge business and technology by working closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute reusable architectures, accelerators, and engineering best practices to Deloitte’s technology capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale software solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, integration architectures, and cloud‑native solutions.
• Experience designing full‑stack, distributed, or enterprise application architectures.
• Hands‑on development experience with modern programming languages and engineering practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with AI‑enabled solutions, Generative AI, or AI‑assisted development is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
