Caregiver – Shelter Support for Unaccompanied Minors

About the role

The Caregiver will support the daily operations of IOM’s accommodation centres for unaccompanied migrant children in Athens. Working on a 24/7 schedule, you will help ensure a safe, caring environment that meets the basic needs of vulnerable minors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accommodation, food, hygiene and basic care to unaccompanied migrant children.
• Assist with legal counselling, information on life opportunities, and interpretation services.
• Deliver psychosocial, medical, and learning support, including Greek language programs.
• Organise intercultural activities, work and career guidance.
• Collaborate with the Shelter Coordinator and National Project Officer to maintain 24/7 shelter operations.

Required profile

• Open to candidates from diverse backgrounds, internal or external.
• Willingness to work in a humanitarian setting with vulnerable minors.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Shelter Coordinator and National Project Officer.
