Arabic-French Interpreter

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a qualified Arabic‑French Interpreter to support the “Helios+” project on Samos Island, Greece. Working under the Regional Coordinator and the Project Assistant (Operations), you will facilitate communication between project partners, authorities and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oral interpretation between Arabic and French during meetings, trainings and field activities.
• Translate written documents, reports and informational material from Arabic to French and vice‑versa.
• Assist project staff in preparing multilingual communication materials.
• Support the implementation of integration activities for third‑country nationals, including language courses and vocational training.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least one year of relevant interpretation or translation experience.
• University degree is an advantage.
• Fluent oral and written proficiency in both Arabic and French.
• Ability to work on Samos Island and travel within the North Aegean region as needed.
