Event & Communications Assistant for European Skills & VET Week

About the role

Provide hands‑on support for the delivery of the European Skills & VET Week flagship event and its communications campaign, from planning through to reporting and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement event organisation from conceptualisation to delivery and impact assessment.
• Manage communications with speakers, participants, contractors and partners, and oversee event registrations.
• Arrange logistics, briefing materials and event documentation, and liaise with contractors to ensure quality and deadlines.
• Support post‑event reporting, impact assessment and lessons learned.
• Assist in planning and delivering the campaign editorial calendar, ensuring timely publication and brand compliance.
• Produce high‑quality content for website news, newsletters, social media, teasers, infographics and other campaign materials.
• Coordinate content production, review and publication with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, event management or related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in event management and communication campaigns.
• Excellent written English (C1) with proven drafting and editing skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing stakeholder communications and coordinating multiple contributors.
• Proficiency with content management systems and digital communication tools.
• Working knowledge of Canva or similar design tools for simple visual assets.
