Project Manager – Energy Projects

About the role

Ameresco is looking for a results‑driven Project Manager to lead renewable energy and energy‑efficiency projects across South, East and Central Europe. Based in Athens, you will oversee multimillion‑euro initiatives from concept through construction, ensuring safety, quality and stakeholder alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of renewable and energy‑efficiency construction projects, coordinating internal teams and third‑party contractors.
• Lead tender preparation, submission and negotiation, integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, finance, legal and operations.
• Implement project controls, scheduling and integration tools, monitoring progress, dependencies and critical paths.
• Oversee project accounting, budgeting and cost tracking while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and internal executives to ensure satisfaction and contractual compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Ameresco, industry, customer and jurisdictional safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with proven experience in energy‑construction project delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership of large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
