Porter / Auto Detailer

About the role

The Porter/Auto Detailer supports Gerber Collision & Glass by preparing and cleaning customer vehicles before and after service, while keeping the shop and surrounding areas tidy. This hands‑on position ensures a professional appearance for every vehicle that leaves the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the office: empty garbage cans, clean floors, dust countertops and work areas.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area: empty waste cans, sweep floors, dispose of unwanted vehicle parts, and store tools and equipment properly.
• Keep parking lots and grounds orderly, including shoveling sidewalks when needed.
• Pre‑wash customer vehicles before repairs begin.
• Perform exterior and interior cleaning of vehicles after repairs are completed.
• Transport customer vehicles to sub‑let locations for additional repairs.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close‑up vision and ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
• Positive attitude, trustworthy, reliable, and willing to learn.
