Field Service Engineer

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its eye‑care team in Greece. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining Alcon surgical equipment, ensuring high customer satisfaction across your assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls.
• Test repaired instruments in all operating modes to verify compliance with Alcon specifications.
• Manage spare‑part inventory, ensuring timely return of cores and meeting inventory turn goals.
• Document service activities accurately in the CRM system and provide regular reports.
• Support sales initiatives by negotiating service agreements and promoting contract services where applicable.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, clinical applications, and operations to address needs promptly.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Biomedical, Electrical or related field).
• Minimum 1 year of experience with medical devices; ophthalmology experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Greek; additional languages are advantageous.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, and results‑oriented with a strong curiosity for digital innovation.

Required skills

• IT Networking TCP‑IP.
• Electronic Health Record connectivity.
